Week 32 2023
7/8-13/8. Mother Ukraine is getting a makeover, muscovy terror bombs, Prigozhin is not arrested, the muscovy economy's struggling to cope with sanctions.
The makeover of Mother Ukraine is ongoing. They aim to have it completed by 24 August. But already now, the traces of the imperialist regime that oppressed Ukraine for so long, have disappeared.

muscovy’s fighting a war against the truth in the schools
During the little bunker czar’s regime, the kremlin has systematically used history as a weapon. It is now forbidden to tell the truth about how the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was the direct cause to WWII. My post about it would be illegal in muscovy.
It is a well-known and undisputable fact that the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact between Hitler and Stalin caused the WWII. However, when the European Parliament merely stated the fact in its resolution, Kremlin got upset. To begin with, there were attempts by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to claim that the Soviet Union was forced to make a pact with Hitler, that many countries had pacts with Germany, that the Versailles Treaty had something to do with the attack on Poland or that the Munich agreement was the cause of the WWII.
It therefore comes as no surprise that the absurd regime has published a new history textbook for educational institutions. The brainwashing of muscovite children must be total as in the soviet union. The new textbook therefore states that it was Ukraine that began the war against muscovy, not the other way around. There’s a great article about it on the Kharkiv Human Rights’ Protection Group’s web page including this qoute:
This is only a small part of the lies just on around five pages. The most Orwellian quote, however, comes from Putin, who, on 24 February 2022, claimed that: “we did not begin any military action, we are trying to end it. This military action was begun by Ukrainian nationalists in 2014.”
The idiot Shoigu also launched an interesting theory about Ukraine plotting with Poland to invade Ukraine. Hopefully, for Ukraine, Ukraine doesn’t know because if Ukraine would know, it will be bad for Ukraine.
muscovy fails to kill Zelenskyy again
The SBU announced on Monday 7 August that it had detained a muscovite informant who planned to murder Zelenskyy last month. The informant “was preparing a Russian airstrike in the Mykolaiv region during the visit of the president of Ukraine,” the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) said.
Ukraine hits the Kerch Strait bridge, keeps exporting grain despite the murderers in the kremlin, and fights corruption at home
Since we haven’t given Ukraine the air force it needs to throw the orcs the hell out of Ukraine, Ukraine needs to prepare its offensive carefully. Targeting ammo depots, command centers, and orc logistics in general is a good way to do that. And especially the Criman bridge which was hit a number of times, possibly both by shelling/missiles and water drones. (Apologies for not using the correct military terminology.)

Have UAF crossed the Dniepr? There’s no official confirmation of that. The ISW reports about of muscovite military bloggers claiming that UAF have captured half of Kozachi Laheri
The muscovites keep smoking where they shouldn’t. It is for example stupid to smoke inside military factories suchas the Zagorsk optical plant.
Ukraine announces a human corridor for ships in the Black sea ports. This is a test to see whether muscovy will attack ships from other countries than Ukraine. The initiative is communicated to the International Maritime Organisation. And Ukraine is very transparent about its initiative.
Oleh Chalyk, a spokesperson for Ukraine's navy, told Reuters: "The corridor will be very transparent, we will put cameras on the ships and there will be a broadcast to show that this is purely a humanitarian mission and has no military purpose."
The Soviet legacy casts long shadows. One of these, is corruption. The Soviet Union was just as infested with corruption as all other socialist countries. Conditions in Ukraine have improved since the Revolution of Dignity, although not as fast as the Ukrainian civil society groups fighting corruption would have wanted. The full-scale war has also meant that the government’s on-line procurement system Prozorro is not as encompassing as before 24 February 2022. Procurement is not as rigourously and transparent and controls have been more lax. Some bastards have taken advantage of this and Ukrainain prosecutors have opened cases against officals making money out of procurement contracts. This week, Zelenskyy announced another case. Or cases, as he will dismiss all regional military recruitment chiefs. Investigations are underway against 112 employees of military registration and enlistment offices, and 33 have been charged with various violations.
muscovity terror bombings and other war crimes

Continue as usual. In his quest to save the russian speaking population of Donbas, the little person in the kremlin ordered residential buildings in Pokrovsk to be bombed. As far as I know, seven people have been killed and 88 injured. As usual, the muscovites used the double tap bombing tactic. That means that they first shell the residential buildings, wait a while and then shell again when they think or know that rescuers have come to the scene. In this case they killed at least one rescue worker. Seven rescuers were injured together with 29 police officers. But only luck prevented a slaughter of many children. The building daily houses a children’s camp. It had closes just one hour before the house was shelled. I don’t think the muscovites cared.
The house was also known to be freqented by journalists and volunteers. Just as the houses they bombed in Kramatorsk, and Poprovsk. The muscovites target journalists.
Lars Wilderäng has also written about this on his blog. He covers Ukraina extremely well. Well worth a copy and paste to google translate if you don’t understand Swedish.
Nikopol was also shelled on 7 August. I’ve seen reports of one person killed and one injured so far. I’m afraind that more victims will be discovered. At least two people were murdered by muscovy in shellings on a church, residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. In Kherson, the muscovites discovered a particularly dangerous kindergarten and decided to shell it.
muscovy has also since the beginning of the war in 2014 erased and destroyed Ukrainian monuments and cultural objects. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, muscovy forces have damaged at least 763 cultural heritage sites also in unoccupied regions of Ukraine since Feb. 24 2022.
The bastards also use chemical weapons.
Russian forces continue using chemical weapons in Ukraine, violating international conventions, said Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander for the Tavria military sector. According to Tarnavskyi, Russian troops fired two artillery barrages with munitions containing a chemical substance, presumably chloropicrin, on Aug. 6. Exposure to chloropicrin’s vapors causes severe irritation to the skin, eyes, and, if inhaled, to internal organs. This substance, widely applied during World War I, is no longer authorized for military use.
Gulag 2.0
The muscovite occupation forces have detained thousands of civilian Ukrainans who are imprisoned in occupied parts of Ukraine and in muscovy. And the bastards are planning to detain many more. This is another crime against humanity.
A Russian government document obtained by The Associated Press dating to January outlined plans to create 25 new prison colonies and six other detention centers in occupied Ukraine by 2026.
In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree in May allowing Russia to send people from territories with martial law, which includes all of occupied Ukraine, to those without, such as Russia. This makes it easier to deport Ukrainians who resist Russian occupation deep into Russia indefinitely, which has happened in multiple cases documented by the AP.
Peskov spoke the truth!
The kremlin’s spokesperson Peskov happened to speak the truth in an interview with the New York Times.
Our presidential election is not really democracy, it is costly bureaucracy. Mr. Putin will be re-elected next year with more than 90 percent of the vote.
That was apparently not approved beforehand by his master. Peskov had to back down from his comments. In vain of course, as we all know, there are no such things as free and fair elections in muscovy since the little bunker czar was appointed president by Yeltsin. As confirmed by Varieties in Democracy.
No free and fair elections in muscovy durin g the little bunker czar’s regime.
Source. Varieties of Democracy. Note: The indicator ranges from 0 to 4 where 0 indicates a total disrespect for the will of the people and 4 shows that elections are flawless.
The increasingly fake elections in muscovy’s has also been noticed by OSCE. In its final report of the 2018 presidential elections the diplomatic summary conclusions by the OSCE delegation were:
the 18 March presidential election took place in an overly controlled legal and political environment marked by continued pressure on critical voices, while the CEC administered the election efficiently and openly. After intense efforts to promote turnout, citizens voted in significant numbers, yet restrictions on the fundamental freedoms of assembly, association and expression, as well as on candidate registration, have limited the space for political engagement and resulted in a lack of genuine competition. While candidates could generally campaign freely, the extensive and uncritical coverage of the incumbent as president in most media resulted in an uneven playing field. Overall, election day was conducted in an orderly manner despite shortcomings related to vote secrecy and transparency of counting.”
In other words, the dictator ordered his subjects to make sure that people voted on him. No candidates that could challenge him, like Navalny, were allowed to stand for office. The kremlin did not appreciate the OSCE remarks and made it impossible for the OSCE to monitor the 2021 Duma Elections.
“We very much regret that our observation of the forthcoming elections in Russia will not be possible,” said ODIHR Director Matteo Mecacci. “But the ability to independently determine the number of observers necessary for us to observe effectively and credibly is essential to all international observation. The insistence of the Russian authorities on limiting the number of observers we could send without any clear pandemic-related restrictions has unfortunately made today’s step unavoidable.”
Why is Prigozhin not arrested?
Is Prigozhin still walking around not having to face any consequences despite his mutiny or attempted coup against the little bunker czar. We all remember how the little bunker czar appeared on TV crying about the traitor Prigozhin should be treated. Well, that didn’t happen despite the little bunker czar’s humiliation. On the other hand, muscovite school girls are thrown in jail for holding signs with the text “No to war”. The question remains, what kind of komprimat does Prigozhin have on the little bunker czar?
What is going on with the Wagner group? It seems that Lukashenka is fed up waiting for the kremlin to pay for the Wagners in Belarus. Some of the Wagners have been training Belarus’s trooops but the rest are wasting Lukashenka’s money. According to ISW, a number of buses with Wagner troops have left Belarus for muscovy.
Hackers from the Not so-Democratic People’s Monarchy of North Korea, appear to have hacked a muscovite missile engineering company. This has apparenlty been going on for some time. I’m not sure why but maybe Kim III wants to make sure that he has got the muscovite missile technology in case muscovy collapses.
muscovy’s death machine is recovering but facing restrictions due to sanctions
In this post, Joseph Politano, tries to assess the state of the muscovy economy given the lack of trust in the official statistics being produced or concocted.
Main takeaways from Joseph’s analyses are that even though the muscovite manufacturing industries have recoveved from the initial fall of imports from sanctioning countries, production and imports remain below the full-scale war levels. The production without imports from the west is more costly and requires more resources from other parts of the economy. Thus, production costs have incrased and the firms faces labour-shortages. The shortages are due to both the war, demanding canon fodder, but also due to the muscovite economy being more low-tech, and therefore more labour-intensive than our economies.
Imports from China have surged but are not sufficient to substitute imports from sanctioning countries which also are more high-tech. The kremlin is trying to use import substitution as a means to fully recover its production. This is of course doomed to fail, especially when you’re sanctioned. China’s importance for muscovy has grown and imports from China now accounts for 40% of total muscovite imports. The attempts to de-dollarize have of course failed even though the Yuan’s share in trade settlements. Nobody wants the rouble.
The G7 price cap on oil have decreased the fascist regime’s monthly revenues which in June were are at the lowest levels since 2020.
Two questions remain. The first is raised by Joseph and concerns the quality of the statistics from Rosstat. We can’t trust them. Therefore the GDP and production indices are probably exaggerating the situations while price and cost data are underestimating the supply side conditions. The second is not addressed by Joseph, it is the quality of the production since the a lot of west sanctioned exports to the kremlin’s industries. The muscovy industries imported intermediate goods from the West of good reasons. They were simply the best. Even thogh the Chinese economy has become more high-tech over the years, it is still not able to produce as many intermediate goods of the same quality and complexity as our economies. This graph
from the post below makes that point. The post also shows that Chinese exports of intermediate goods to muscovy were dependent on other intermediate goods from the West.
In Sahel
The coup makers in Niger have received the support of other coup makers in Mali and Burkina-Faso. Two hell holes where the Wagner group is very active killing, looting, and raping as usual.
Mali's troops and its foreign security partners, believed to be Russia's Wagner mercenaries, are using violence against women and other "grave human rights abuses" to spread terror, U.N. sanctions monitors said in a report seen by Reuters on Monday.
The monitors also warned in their report to the U.N Security Council that the sexual violence by Mali's troops and their foreign security partners is "systematic." They said the foreign partners were "presumed to be elements of the Wagner Group."
I don’t think that muscoy had a lot to do with the coup in Niger, but the coup makers seem to regard muscovy as a potential ally and will probably invite the Wagners to assist in making Niger an impossible place to live in.
In case you like me need a background on Niger and the Sahel, this post by Ken Opalo
might be of interest. I found it useful:
Perhaps with the exception of Guinea, all affected countries experienced coups partially as a by-product of the imbalanced aggrandizement of their armed forces in the face of serious security threats — whether from domestic insurgencies, organized crime, or the spread of militancy related to the global “war on terror” and/or insecurity contagion from failing neighboring states. Geographic diffusion has since locked in strong negative neighborhood effects, especially since affected countries typically are also involved in proxy conflicts with each other. It follows that the coup risk in affected states will most likely not subside unless their domestic elites serious invest in the painstaking tasks of state-building, repairing their social contracts, and tackling overall regional drivers of insecurity.
On the disinformation front
The usual suspects, Ben Norton, and other fascists supporting the kremlin’s genocidal war, now celebrates the coup in Niger. Not surprising. It is after all a blow to the very fragile democracy in the region and a victory for brutal oppression. It is also a blow to France, which is a democracy and therefore hated by the kremlin and its supporters.
Jeffrey Sachs has again proved that he’s turned fascist. He now appears on the anti-vaxxer R.F. Kennedy’ substack, with a post where he claims to have come up with a chronology of events leading up to muscovy’s full scale war. It’s a pack of lies.
A gathering was held in Stockholm by pro-kremlin organisations demonstrating against other countries than China, muscovy, and North Korea having nukes. In their flyer, they also demanded that Ukrainans should not be able to defend themselves against the fascist regime in the kremlin. “No more weapons to Ukraine” was of their disgusting demands. No one really cares about them. Among the few speakers spewing lies, was the infamous warmonger Agneta Norberg. Among many outlandish statements, she also claimed that USA and Nazi Germany planned to together attack Soviet Union in the end of WWII. She said it some eight minutes in this Youtube clip.
She has also claimed that the American moon landings never took place, that USA was responsible for the 9/11 attacks, and much more…
In Simrishamn, a small town in the South-East of Sweden, a number of “peace activists” held a festival in three days. It was organised by a number of organisations hating USA, and NATO. That’s why most of these bastards demanded that we should stop helping Ukrainians to defend themselves against the rapists, murderers, and executioners from muscovy. Among these idiots were Gudrun Schyman, who is obsessed with startng political parties and organisations.
Naturally, one of the organising organisations were Women for Peace which I have written on previously. Its representative did not disappoint the kremlin as she called the kremlin’s genocidal war for a “US proxy war” and claimed that it could have been avoided if we and other countries had agreed to the kremlin’s demands in 2022. That’s when the kremlin demanded that Eastern Europe should agree to disarm themselves so that the kremlin could attack them without being disturbed.
Women for Peace are struggling hard to fight the kremlin’s cause in the disinformation war. After submitting letters (lies) of opinion to newspapers about the NATO, about the threats of a nuclear war, they now argue that we must stop producing weapons to help Ukraine since the military is bad for the climate. They have managed to get their shit published in at least three newspapers including this one.
Timbro, a Swedish think tank, put its foot in its mouth
In other Swedish news, the think tank Timbro, which I think does a lot of useful stuff, published an article claiming that Ireland’s high GDP was the result of people working more and harder due to lower taxes. The location of MNEs which due to accounting increased GDP by 25% in 2015, was dismissed in one or two sentences. The increase in 2015 was due to MNEs’ moving capital assets and headquarters to Ireland. The depreciation of capital stocks increased Gross Domestic Product and profits generated from production elsewhere but recorded in Ireland, increased GDP as factor incomes increased. And the growh of Irish GDP since 2015, has taken place at a higher level than before 2014. I recently wrote a post about this:
In sports
We are through to the semi-finals in the World Cup! The Swedish team beat Japan in the quarter final and will meet Spain next week.
