14/8-20/8. muscovy commits piracy in the Black Sea, Prigozhin is not arrested, the ruble turns to rubble, Zelenskyy in Sweden.
The Zelenskyy’s visited Denmark, Netherlands, and Sweden
The president of Ukraine and the First lady visited Sweden on 19 August. The president met our PM, politicians, and our king and queen. The discussions with our PM regarding support to Ukraine was summarised by Zelenskyy on twitter here. Among those ten points, one point was about a joint production of the CV90 combat vehicle, and another on already ongoing training of Ukrainian pilots on our fighter jet, Gripen, and transfer of Gripen to Ukraine.
Part of Zelenskyy’s speech has been translated by the Twitter account Fria Ukraina here. Zelenskyy talks about production in Ukraine. I’m not sure that will happen, because decisions of locations of production of CV90 are made by the British-owned firm BAE Systems Hägglunds. It would be faster and safer to expand the existing plant and increase the production there. Maybe, the governments are planning to use subsidies to make BAE Hägglunds produce in Ukraine, I really do not know. The Swedish government’s statement is, as always, vague.
The training on Gripen is, as for as I know, for testing purposes only since we try to sell Gripen to Ukraine in the future. If my understanding is correct, we do not have any Gripen to send to Ukraine now or in the nearest future. But what I know now may change tomorrow. If I knew anything, that is.
Anyway, on 20 August 2023, Zelenskyy visited Netherlands and Denmark who will definitely give him fighter jets, F-16. We have read in the media that it will take until next year before Ukrainian pilots and other personnel are ready to use them. Let’s see about that. By the way, the meeting in Netherlands took place at the airport where the victims from MH17 were received. That was a signal even the kremlin couldn’t miss.

The ruble turns to rubble, and the Moon sanctions a rocket from muscovy
Which is why muscovy’s central bank held an emergency meeting and increased interest rates from 8.5% to 12% in an attempt to strengthen the ruble. The bank justified its move by mouinting inflation pressure. The official statistics, which probably understates the inflation rate, claimed that core inflation was 7.1%. That is of course bullshit. But anyway, let’s assume that expected inflation also is 7%. That yields a real interest rate of 5%. That’s not going to be good for neither private consumption nor business investments.
Another epic kremlin crash was made by Luna-25 this week. It crashed into the Moon which now has been added to the kremlin’s list of unfriendly countries. Well, countries that cannot provide more than 70% of its citizens with indoor toilets, shouldn’t aim for the moon.
The kremlin murders children, terror bombs, rapes and tortures
In the beginning of the week, the orcs targeted a supermarket in Odesa and ten blocks of the city’s central historic area, residential buildings in Lviv and a kindergarten in Lviv,
an industrial plant, owned by the Swedish firm SKF, in Lutsk where three people were killed, and a factory in Dnipro. None of the factories were producing for the military. And during the weekend, the orcs killed church goers in Chernihiv and six-year old Sofia.
Orcs don’t care what they hit, as long as they kill and destroy.
Warning! Orcs are savages which is again confirmed. They target civilians. The link leads to a disclosure of injuries that teenage Ukrainian girls suffer after being gangraped by the kremlin’s soldiers. Ukrainian prisoners are regularly tortured and killed. So are aid workers. Civilians as Chris Parry and Andrew Bagshaw.
A pair of British aid volunteers killed near the frontlines in Ukraine in January were likely to have been tortured and executed by Russian troops or Wagner Group mercenaries, the family of one of the victims has alleged.
This confirms for the umpteenth time that there cannot be any peace with muscovy as long as there are orcs on Ukrainian soil. So, Adam Cwejman, columnist at the Swedish liberal(?) newspaper Göteborgsposten and Stian Jenssen, Director of the Private Office of the NATO Secretary General, can both go to hell. I am not linking to their stupidities.
The Finnish journalist Anna-Lena Laurén was finally kicked out of muscovy. Her accreditation (permit to work in muscovy as a journalist) was not prolonged. Previously, journalists got permits for a year at the time, but the kremlin changed that just to make life more difficult for foreign journalists who also need to go throught medical examinations. As you know, the kremlin hates a free press.

Corruption and incompetence cause fighter jets and fires in muscovy where Prigozhin can move around freely
Figheter jets keep crashing and industrial buildings, and oil depots keep burning. Prigozhin is still not arrested, on the contrary, he’s free to make deals with fellow African coup makers. To my knowledge, this is unique in the world history failed coup makers normally get killed by the incumbent dictator. Especially when the incumbent dictator says so in a TV-speech. Here’s a nice summary of the events that day by MI6 chief Richard Moore.
“If you look at Putin’s behaviors on that day,” Richard Moore said of June 24. “Prigozhin started off I think, as a traitor at breakfast. He had been pardoned by supper and then a few days later, he was invited for tea. So, there are some things and even the chief of MI6 finds that a little bit difficult to try and interpret, in terms of who’s in and who’s out.”
muscovy is a failed state.
That became obvious even for the most pro-muscovy people during Prigozhin’s mutiny. As more information becomes available, it becomes more and more obvios what a complete failure the little person in the kremlin is. The same person who created the Wagner group and gave Prigozhin the assignment to run it, has also allowed the creations of more private armies. Armies, whose owners are in positions to negotiate the terms and conditions for supporting the country’s military force when there’s a war going on! The little person is a failure. From ISW 14 August
And, as reported by Ukraine Today, discipline problems are a grave concern in the muscovy army. Sometimes, they give rise to infighting between different ethnic groups in the muscovite army. Lately, soldiers from Dagestan and Kadyrovites from Chechnia took shots at each other, resulting in 20 killed and 40 injured. Good, at least 20 rapists less for Ukrainian women to worry about.
Genocide in China
While we daily watch the little bunker czar’s genocidal war against Ukraine, must of us forget the brutal Chinese communist regime’s genocide against the Uyghurs. The Uyghurs are brutally incarcerated in concentration camps where they are abused, tortured, and brainwashed.

CCP stops publishing youth unemployment
The Chinese economy is facing problems on many accounts. The most discussed is perhaps the real estate sector with many bad loans risking to bring down large firms. And the real economy is also facing problems. And there’s no problem as embarassing for a communist regime as unemployment. Since youth unemployment is persistent and rising, the CCP has decided to stop publishing statistics for youth unemployment. It has now become a state secret.
Increased risk for terrorism in Sweden
On Thursday 17 August, the Swedish Security Policy, SÄPO, announced that it has indications that the level of threats against national security, has increased. The level was raised from three to four on a scale where five is the highest level. The level four means that the threat is serious. There is a high probability that actors have the intentions and capabilites of carrying out acts of terror in Sweden. In order to introduce the level four, a concrete threrat must be identified.

Previosly, the British Foreign Office warned its citizens to visit Sweden due to the increased risk for acts of terrorism.
A lot of the increased threat level, shows up as disinformation in various foras and social media which brings us to the next headline.
On the disinformation front.
Women for Peace faced a backlash as the decision by the Swedish Gender Equality to temporarily stop the payments of the grant
to them, was blogged and tweeted by Lars Wilderäng here and here respectively. The backlash being the attention they will get now that the story was picked up by LW. His blog is is visited by at least 100,000 each day, so there’s a possibility that newspapers pick up the story now.
Civilized russians who oppose the fascist regime’s genocidal war, are persectued even if they live in Sweden. The kremlin’s army of Internet fascists have launched a campaign against them. Their names, addresses, photos, social media accounts, and more have been published on several muscovite web sites and social media foras.

Our ladies played their best game against Australia on Saturday 19 August. They won by 2 - 0 which easily could have been 3 - 0 or 4 - 0 with a bit of luck. The Spanish women won the gold.
