The kremlin's "peace festival" in Österlen is a pure mockery
A festival for a bunch of fascist loving people blaming the EU for muscovy's genocide
This is a slightly longer English version of my letter to newspapers which was published by Kristianstadsbladet and Norra Skåne 20 May. Österlen is a part of Sweden which is famous for its beautiful landscape.
A “peace festival” will be held in Österlen on August 9-10 this summer. The organizers have already stated the festival’s message in a letter to the local newspaper where the festival will be held.
It is a message that has been copied from the pro-Russian “peace organization” European Peace Project. That “peace organization” is fronted by two people who claim on social media and in books that Ukraine attacked Russia with the support of the “West”, Ulrike Guerot and Isabelle Casel.

In the article “Never again war” in Ystads Allehanda, just like in the Russian fascist dictatorship, May 9 was declared Victory Day, even though it is celebrated on May 8 in democratic countries. The authors of the article blame the Kremlin’s genocidal war against Ukraine on the EU. In addition, the efforts of Sweden and other countries to defend themselves against the Kremlin’s imperialist ambitions are condemned as “warmongering”. As is well known, the Kremlin is provoked by others trying to defend themselves against its war of conquest.
The contributors also put forward the Kremlin’s demand for sanctions to be lifted. Lifting them would allow the fascist dictatorship’s oil companies to pump out even more fossil fuels. The proceeds from the sale of these fuels are used by the fascist dictatorship to bomb children’s hospitals, women’s clinics and conquer new Ukrainian villages and towns. In these places, just as in Bucha, Borodianka, Irpin, Izium and other places, Russian soldiers will commit gang rapes of Ukrainian women, children and men.
Those who imagined that the signatory who founded the political parties Fi! (Feminist Initiative) and the Klimatalliansen (Climate Alliance) would have anything against it are deeply mistaken. Judging by the sender's message, loyalty to the fascist dictatorship weighs more heavily, even though it has also legalized wife beating.
The European Peace Project’s message that was copied by the members of the Swedish authors of the letter is found here together with other language versions.
