Russia's goal has always been to annihilate Ukraine
Reply to Women for Peace's post Diplomacy here is now the only way" in YA March 28.

As expected, Women for Peace blames Ukraine and the countries of Eastern Europe for the Kremlin's genocidal war against Ukraine.
Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin demanded to be allowed to decide what security policy those countries would pursue. This despite the fact that Russia has never been exposed to any external threat since the Second World War.
As everyone knows, Ukrainian membership in NATO has never been on the table.
Ukraine was neutral in 2014 when Russia started the war. Despite that, Ukraine proposed in negotiations with Russia in Turkey in March that the country should remain outside NATO.
It was rejected because the Kremlin's goal is to annihilate Ukraine as a nation.
Women for Peace wants negotiations to take place without the Kremlin giving up the goal of annihilating Ukraine. This means that millions of Ukrainians continue to live under occupation in the worst repression known to Europe, where abuses continue and Ukrainian culture is erased.
However, Women for Peace is more upset that we and other countries help Ukrainians to defend themselves.
In the reply, Jea Jonsson could have distanced hEmself from hEs previous legitimization of Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea. She didn't. Nor has Women for Peace done so.
