Russian terrorist bombings are protected by the US.
And the pariah states Iran and North Korea are cheering.
This is the English version of my op-ed in Kristianstadsbladet 13 September 2024, and in Norra Skåne on the same day. It was also published as a letter to the newspaper Sydöstran published 2 September 2024.
The Russian terror bombings continue unabated. The goals are, in exceptional cases, military. The Russians prioritise civilian targets such as power plants, children's hospitals, railway stations with waiting passengers, shopping centers and residential buildings.

The Russians also bomb hotels. This is done in order to kill and intimidate journalists and volunteers who enter there. The fascist dictatorship does not want witnesses in the areas they are trying to conquer. Gang rapes, torture, mass executions are systematically carried out in the genocidal war that the internationally wanted war criminal and illegitimate Russian president is waging against Ukraine.
The bombings can take place unhindered where Ukraine lacks air defence as the democracies' deliveries of this protection are delayed and insufficient. In addition, the US, UK and Germany protect Russian air force because they do not allow Ukraine to use their long-range weapons against Russian air bases in fear of escalation of the war. This fear of escalation is not shared by the rogue states of Iran and North Korea, which supply large quantities of weapons that kill Ukrainian civilians.
America's ambivalence is not a new phenomenon. It started in 2008 when Obama wanted to restore relations with Russia after its war against Georgia. It continued with Obama's "red line" against Assad's poison gas bombings of his own population, which turned out to be an empty threat.
When the fascist dictatorship occupied Crimea and parts of Donbas in 2014, Obama refused to send weapons to Ukraine. The debacle in Afghanistan began with Trump's negotiations with the Taliban and was completed with the chaotic withdrawal of US troops by Biden. It was noted by the internationally wanted war criminal and illegitimate president of Russia sending GPS-guided missiles against women and children in Ukraine.
For some reason, Biden and his administration care more about Russian child murderers than their victims in Ukraine.
